06-04-2019

The ground floor windows of one of Bloomfield Center's newest residential developments is now serving as the showcase for winning works of art chosen by the Bloomfield Art League for its Annual "Town Paints" Exhibition! Paintings from several local artists are now on view in a number windows at The Green Apartments (56 Broad Street). One of New Jersey's oldest arts organizations (88 years strong!), the Bloomfield Arts League is sponsored by the town's Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs Department. Commenting on the recent addition to Bloomfield Center, BCA Director Ollyn Lettman shares, "We are very excited to have colorful and interesting art work visible for the public to appreciate. On behalf of the BCA, I want to thank the owners/managers of The Green for working with the town in the support and promotion of the arts." This sidewalk gallery continues recent and ongoing efforts to bring arts and culture into the Bloomfield Center, including several "pop-up" art shows the BCA has organized and hosted in the last few years thanks to the cooperation and support of The Shops at Bloomfield Station. Interesting Note - This gallery of art is located just steps away from the highly anticipated location of the new Sweetberry Bowls restaurant expected to open this summer.
