04-10-2019
The Bloomfield Center Alliance (BCA) shares the bittersweet news that long time Events Coordinator - Jackie Apicella - has left the organization to take on an exciting, new full-time position as
Events and Communications Manager at the Montclair Center Business Improvement District. Speaking on the loss, BCA Executive Director Ollyn J. Lettman states, “While it is with deep sadness that we see Ms. Apicella move forward with her career away from Bloomfield Center, we are happy that she has this wonderful opportunity where she will no doubt be very successful. On behalf of the BCA board, its staff, and the hundreds of downtown stakeholders, we wish her all the best and thank her for her great work over the last five years.”
Ms. Apicella was the driving force behind many of BCA’s successful events and initiatives, including the Washington Street Block Party, Summer Cruise Night Series, and the Dinner Under the Stars al fresco dining series. Making it clear she will not be a stranger to the community she’s been part of for so long years, Ms. Apicella states, “It has been my great honor to work for Bloomfield Center Alliance and I am proud of the work we’ve done together over the last five years. I have always been drawn to the center long before working here and it will always be a part of my routine. I will continue to patronize my favorite downtown establishments. I hope to attend cruise night with my pup Gidget and I am looking forward to having a date night at Dinner Under The Stars with my husband. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank director Ollyn Lettman, the BCA board, and the wonderful business owners for treating me like family all these years.”
