The Bloomfield Center Alliance is a member of Downtown New Jersey, an organization representing (and advocating on behalf of) the state�s downtowns and business improvement districts (BIDs). Recently, they posted an article on their website that highlights the many things happening in Bloomfield Center contributing to its continuing transformation. Click here to read the article and learn more about Downtown New Jersey. Every year, Downtown New Jersey announces the recipients of its Downtown Excellence Awards. The honor goes to organizations and projects that have made a significant and important impact in a downtown area. One of those honored at last year�s annual conference in November was Bloomfield College who received the �Excellence in Design� award. This was in recognition of the inspired historic restoration of a campus building built in the 1860s that was transformed into the College�s groundbreaking Center for Technology + Creativity, which opened in 2016. The BCA congratulates our partners at Bloomfield College and the local firm of Fallon-Pacheco Architects for their award winning design. The new state-of-the-art building, along with the College itself, both exemplify (and contribute to) the exciting revitalization taking place in Bloomfield Center.
