Experience the Holidays at Bloomfield Center Pop-Up!

12-01-2017

During a few days in December, the BCA is transforming a vacant storefront in the heart of downtown into a beautifully decorated destination (complete with tree and garland). A place where visitors can experience the sights and sounds of the holidays. The Bloomfield Center holiday pop-up space will have a lot of great things to enjoy. They include: 1) holiday treats like cookies, egg nog, and hot cocoa; 2) "elfie" stations where folks can take pictures of themselves and share with friends and family; 3) and free gift wrapping for "ready-to-wrap" in a box presents hopefully (but not necessarily) purchased at one of the many great downtown retailers (limit of three presents per family). The space will also be filled with the sound of music, including live carolers singing holiday classics at various times. The public is invited to bring winter apparel accessories such as scarves, socks, and gloves as these will be collected and donated to a local organization for distribution to those in need this winter. Visitors will also find out the participants for the second annual Holiday Window Display Competition and learn how they can determine this year's winners. The holiday pop-up is scheduled for Saturday- December 2nd and 9th, from 3 PM - 6 PM. The address is 78 Washington Street. Visitors can also take advantage of dining deals from Washington Street restaurants, including: Aki Asian House, Anthony's Cheesecake, Arezzo Pizza, Essex Junction Craft Kitchen and Bar, and Heavenly Bites. The BCA would like to express its sincerest thanks to The Shops at Bloomfield Station for allowing us to use this great space for the purpose of bringing our community together. It also thanks the following individuals and businesses for their support and assistance: Andrew Alsheskie, AVI Design, Dollar Zone, Home Depot, IHOP, Jack's Super Foodtown, and Roxy Florist and Ron Richard Painting.
