New Restaurant Brings Healthy Spin on PASTA!

09-19-2017

There's a new "player" in town when it comes to Bloomfield Center's dining scene. That's right . . . another restaurant just opened and it's definitely bringing something different. Mangia Organica is serving up an interesting menu specializing in healthy handmade pasta and Italian coffees. Located just steps away from the downtown train station on Lackawanna Place, the sit-down eatery is the third new restaurant to open on Glenwood Avenue in the last nine months (Satis Bistro and The Wooden Spoon Southern Kitchen and Saloon being the others). A total of fourteen new restaurants have opened in Bloomfield's special improvement district over the last two years. So what drew Mangia Organica's owner Valentino LaRosa to open his new spot in Bloomfield Center? As he explains it, "I decided to open in Bloomfield Center because of the obvious growth that's taking place and also because I really like the diversity of the community. I think Bloomfield will be a great town for dining and nightlife heavily influenced by young, creative types. I look forward to being a big part of that movement here." Big on health, Valentino's place is an all organic eatery with great gluten free and vegan options. Please join us in welcoming Mangia Organica to the community
