One cannot help but notice the extraordinary amount of development taking place in Bloomfield. Even keeping to the more visible projects, the conclusion that something monumental is taking place is hard to avoid.
The Oaks Pond development, located at 225 Belleville Ave., is one example. The $60 million development project by developer Garden Homes, will, at completion, provide 332 luxury rental units.
Heritage Village, a $20.3 million senior housing project located on the corner of Franklin Street and Municipal Plaza, is projected to create 82 units for seniors with low to moderate income levels, 192 full-time jobs during construction and 20 full-time jobs annually after completion.
