Kumon Learning Center opens in downtown Bloomfield
The Bloomfield Center Alliance celebrated the opening of another business in the town's primary commercial district. Invited guests, including Mayor Michael Venezia and Councilwoman Jenny Mundell joined entrepreneur Nievalyn Keel in cutting the ribbon to the new Kumon Math and Reading Center of Bloomfield Center.
It was a festive gathering with a crowd largely made up of the Kumon Center's students and their parents. Ms. Keel thanked everyone for their support and expressed how excited she was to have finally opened in her permanent space on Washington Street. Other attendees included representatives from Bloomfield Pulse and the following downtown businesses - State Farm Insurance, Provident Bank, and Varitage Brew Works. The new center provides its learning services to children of preschool age to 12th grade.
