December of 2021, the Bloomfield Center Alliance (BCA) held their sixth annual Holiday Window Design Contest, and like every year the participating businesses pulled out all the stops with their decorations. Votes were counted based on the number of "likes" the photos of each window display received on BCA's Facebook and Instagram platforms. This year close to 700 votes were submitted!
Eight businesses competed for the title of BEST Holiday Window design. Along with bragging rights, the winner receives a custom engraved plaque to proudly display inside their business. After two weeks of intense voting with the lead changing several times, the winner was Bucco's Restaurant. Six Points Pub was our runner up, and Ultimate Vision's Hair Studio rounded out the top three.
Commenting on the victory, Bucco Restaurant owner Frank Bucco states,
"We'd like to thank everyone for checking out and voting for our holiday window this season. This contest is always a lot of fun and we appreciate the attention it brings the Center and the participating businesses. I also want to congratulate our fellow competitors for making it such a close race. We are grateful to the BCA for organizing this annual contest, which we've now won two out of the last three years and we look forward to defending our title next season. Hopefully, more downtown business owners will get into the spirit of this contest which ultimately helps promote Bloomfield Center.
Other participating businesses included - Bloomfield Wax and Skin Care Center, Easy Pickins, Hombre Salon and Barber Shop, Murdoch Shoes, Provident Bank, and Vega Palace Jewelry. To view a photo gallery of all the window displays, click here.
"We are always impressed with the beautiful holiday decorations put up by many of our downtown businesses," shares BCA Director Ollyn J. Lettman. "This competition provides an opportunity for people to help pick a winner based on these festive windows, but more importantly remind them of the various businesses serving this growing community. Believing that the more the merrier, we hope to recruit an even higher number of businesses to participate next year."
