Bloomfield Center welcomes people to find holiday cheer, holiday gifts close to home

Bloomfield, NJ - After a challenging year for retail business owners and the wider community, the Bloomfield Center Alliance is inviting shoppers to its Bloomfield Center Holiday Hunt, where attendees will find holiday cheer through shopping, music, and ice sculptures! The Bloomfield Center Holiday Hunt will start at 2 PM on Saturday, November 28th, which also happens to be "Small Business Saturday," the shop local initiative that encourages people to support small businesses in their communities during the holidays. The day will kick-off with holiday music, hot cocoa, and pastries from Brandon's Cafe, and a photo-worthy Bloomfield, NJ ice sculpture which will be on display at the Six Points Plaza (intersection of Bloomfield Avenue and Glenwood Avenue). Upon arrival at the Plaza, attendees will receive a Bloomfield Center Map showing locations of the downtown's various Holiday Hunt Destinations. Participating businesses, all of whom are located within a short walking distance of the Six Points Plaza, offer a selection of products ranging from bowties to bike accessories, wine baskets to boots, hair accessories to gift cards for fun experiences or pampering sessions - all of which make for a great gifts for the holidays. Individuals who visit five or more destinations and/or make purchases over $20 on the day of the Hunt will be entered to win incredible prizes from local businesses. When people return to the Six Points Plaza upon finishing their Holiday Hunt between 4 PM and 5 PM, they will be greeted by more live music performed by local performers and a live ice carving demonstration by the 'Ice Sculpture King,' artist Jimmy Chiappa. Warm drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, will be offered in the evening by area restaurants and attendees will receive information on outdoor dining opportunities if they choose to eat lunch before the event or stay for dinner afterward.   • Toni's Community Closet,
  • Ultimate Visions Salon,
  • Vega Palace Jewelry,
  • Save and Rave Consignment Shop, and
  • Starlight Tuxedo. In an effort to ensure the public's safety, all visitors will be reminded to wear masks and practice social distancing while in Bloomfield Center, especially when inside any of the stores participating that day. The Holiday Hunt comes after a challenging year for local retailers, who have nonetheless persevered and continued to serve the Bloomfield Center community with their unique products and services. "
