10-05-2019
The 27th annual Harvest Fest celebration is taking place Saturday, October 12th from 11 AM - 7 PM (rain date is Sunday, October 13th)! A community tradition the event will once again bring something for everyone including food from local restaurant and festival vendors, shopping opportunities from 100+ retailers and artisans, amusement rides and carnival attractions, live entertainment from several bands, and a Harvest Beer and Wine Garden.
Once again, major sponsorship for the event comes from the Brookdale Shop Rite and Clara Maass Medical Center RWJ Barnabas Center. Both entities will be on hand that day engaging the several thousand people who typically attend this community celebration. They will be offering free giveaways and distributing valuable information. "We are very proud to support Bloomfield's Harvest Festival again this year since we enjoy and appreciate opportunities to bring families together to celebrating the beginning of the fall season," said Mary Ellen Clyne, President and Chief Executive Officer of Clara Maass Medical Center, a facility of RWJBarnabas Health. "As the hospital of choice, we are delighted to join in the festivities, sharing important health information and screenings for our community," said Clyne. Additional sponsors include Avalon at Bloomfield Station, Bloomfield College, Provident Bank, The Shops at Bloomfield Station, Investors Bank Foundation, The Green at Bloomfield, and Amazing Escape Room/Bury the Hatchet. Local businesses such as The Sign Post and Bloomfield Buy-Rite are also contributing to help make this year’s event a success. Thanks to the generous support and assistance of Bloomfield Township, parking on the street and the lots around the downtown area will be free.
This year's Harvest Beer and Wine Garden is possible with the support of Bloomfield Buy-Rite Liquors. It will be located right next to the Harvest Fest main stage where attendees will be able to sit and enjoy music from a full roster of live bands and singers, including: Guitaro 5000, Brody, Take 2, Howlin' Poets, and The Oxygen Box Band. In addition, several downtown restaurants will be selling specialty items from their menus that day. They include: Anthony's (first-time), Apna Punjab (first-time), Bucco (first-time), Burgers Grilled Right, Injera Ethiopian (first-time), Mangia Organica, Sweetberry Bowls (first-time), and The Wooden Spoon.
