Open Doors to a New Era of Collaboration

Puppet Heap is an independent, New Jersey-based entertainment company dedicated to storytelling through character.  Founded by artist, designer, filmmaker, and professor Paul Andrejco, the company began in the early 1990s in his Hoboken apartment, where a growing collection of puppets quite literally took over the space.

Over the past 25 years, Puppet Heap has grown into a full-service creative studio, bringing together artists, fabricators, writers, and producers to develop original work and collaborate with partners including The Walt Disney Company, Sesame Workshop, and Nickelodeon.  At its core, the company remains focused on character: how it's built, how it performs, and how it connects with an audience.

In recent years, Puppet Heap expanded its leadership with the addition of Producer and Head of Business Development Cindy Alves, who spearheads marketing, partnerships, and new project development, helping to shape the company's next chapter.

Now based in Bloomfield, Puppet Heap's new space reflects both its working studio and its public-facing mission. The studio will host workshops, exhibits, and community events, and is dedicated to sharing the art and process of puppetry and character creation with a wider audience and the next generation of storytellers.
